Stock Refresh plus

The Stock Refresh Plus builds upon our standard Stock Refresh by adding a mild performance upgrade while maintaining the reliability and drivability of a refreshed engine. Through the same careful inspection, machine work, and reassembly process—paired with a mild camshaft and aluminum intake—the goal is to restore engine health while giving it a little more life on the street.

Typical Investment

Because every engine core is different, the final cost of a Stock Refresh Plus build can vary depending on the condition of the engine and the machine work required.

As a general guideline, most Stock Refresh Plus builds typically fall in the $3,000–$3,500 range once parts, labor, and standard machine shop services are considered.

This package follows the same foundation as our standard Stock Refresh, but introduces a mild performance upgrade in the form of a camshaft and aluminum dual-plane intake manifold. These additions help improve airflow, throttle response, and overall driving enjoyment while still maintaining excellent street manners and reliability.

This estimate assumes the engine’s major components—such as the block, crankshaft, connecting rods, and cylinder heads—are in usable condition and only require standard cleaning, inspection, and light machining such as honing or resurfacing.

If inspection reveals damaged or excessively worn components that require replacement—such as cylinder heads, crankshaft, pistons, or the engine block itself—additional parts and machine work may increase the overall cost.

Once the engine is inspected and evaluated, a more accurate breakdown of the required parts and services will be provided before moving forward.

What To Expect

This package builds upon our standard Stock Refresh by adding a mild performance upgrade while still maintaining the reliability and drivability of a mostly stock engine.

The engine is fully inspected, cleaned, and refreshed following the same process as our Stock Refresh package, but with the addition of a mild camshaft and aluminum dual-plane intake manifold to improve airflow and overall performance.

The selected camshaft is specifically chosen to work with factory cylinder heads and stock-style valvetrain components while providing a noticeable improvement in throttle response, torque, and idle character without sacrificing street manners.

The result is an engine that feels stronger and more responsive than stock while maintaining the reliability and drivability expected from a refreshed factory engine.

  • Complete engine teardown and inspection

  • Machine shop cleaning and inspection of major components

  • New bearings, piston rings, and gaskets

  • Replacement of worn components as needed

  • Mild hydraulic camshaft upgrade

  • Valve springs matched to camshaft requirements
